Job summary

Ochsner Health in Louisiana seeks an experienced APRN (Family or Adult/Geriatric) to provide outpatient and urgent care within a collaborative care model. You will work under medical leadership with PCCs, staff nurses, and discharge coordinators to plan and deliver high-quality care.

The role requires a Master’s in Nursing, current APRN license in the state, BCLS/ACLS, and prescriptive authority eligibility. Flexible scheduling and travel between facilities are expected.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in nursing is required.
• Currently licensed APRN in the state of practice.
• BCLS/ACLS Certification from the American Heart Association.
• Eligible for Prescriptive Authority in the state of practice.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the approved medical practices process in the delivery of all patient care.
• Provides care based on physical, psycho/social, educational, safety and related criteria, appropriate to the ages of patients served in assigned areas.
• Maintains an attitude of inquiry towards medical practices and patient care outcomes, and may develop research methodology.
• Provides education experiences to patient families, staff, other health professionals, and to the community.
• Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, including respect for privacy and communication style.
• Performs other related duties as required.
