Job summary

University Health Careers is seeking a Physician Assistant or Surgeon Assistant to support neonatal care across delivery, NICU, and well‑baby settings in Texas. The role provides assignments designed to build expertise in neonatal care under the supervision of a designated neonatal provider.

The position requires completion of an accredited PA/SA program, ongoing NRP, prescriptive authority, and licensure in Texas.

Qualifications

• Successful Completion of an educational program for physician assistants or surgeon assistants accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs, or by that committee’s predecessor or successor entities is required.
• Must maintain current NRP. Prescriptive authority is required. Valid DEA and DPS numbers must be obtained within 90-days of hire.
• Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants is recommended.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Successful Completion of an educational program for physician assistants or surgeon assistants accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs, or by that committee’s predecessor or successor entities is required.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION

Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants is recommended. Must be currently licensed as a Physician Assistant in the State of Texas.
