Job summary

University Health in Texas is seeking a Physician Assistant or Surgeon Assistant to support neonatal care under a designated provider. Responsibilities include front-line care in delivery, well-baby nursery, and NICU with follow-up for newborns and infants.

Applicants must have completed an accredited PA/SA education program, be licensed in Texas, maintain NRP, and obtain prescriptive authority with DEA and DPS numbers within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited PA/SA educational program.
• Texas PA license required.
• NRP certification must be maintained.

Responsibilities

• Provide front-line neonatal care in delivery room, well-baby nursery, and NICU.
• Support neonates up to 6 months of age and follow-up care for newborns and infants.
• Work under the direction of a designated neonatal provider to develop expertise in specified area/specialty.
