Job summary

Wellpath seeks a Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive medical services within the PA DOC Camp Hill SCI facility. The NP works under the supervision of the Site Medical Director to deliver care to incarcerated patients, perform rounds, and ensure proper documentation.

The role requires current NP licensure in the state and CPR certification. Experience in medical/surgical or emergency/trauma care and corrections is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Advanced degree in an approved Nurse Practitioner program.
• Must have and maintain current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner within the state of employment.
• Must have and maintain current CPR certification.
• Prior medical/surgical and/or emergency/trauma experience and corrections experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and emergency medical care for inmates, including chronic care clinics and infirmary rounds.
• Documents services in SOAP format and adheres to formulary regimens.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and privacy for incarcerated individuals.
• Coordinates scheduling changes with Medical Director and Health Services Administrator.
• Provides input into facility mandatory committees as requested.
