UW Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner in Clinic Pediatrics for a position in MADISON, Wisconsin.

Job Description & Requirements

Work Schedule:

80% FTE; core hours between 7:00 am - 5:00 pm with some flexibility.

As an Advanced Practice Provider, you'll play an integral role in our medical/surgical inpatient care teams by providing high-quality, cost-effective care to patients. You will be part of a dynamic nationally recognized Pediatric Sedation Clinic.

We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to:

• Perform history and assessments
• Develop a sedation plan in collaboration with the attending Physician
• Perform moderate sedation to children for various procedures
• Assist in deep sedations for various procedures

UW Health’s Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Advisory Council ensures your voices are heard. This council promotes, supports, and advocates for APP practice and provides expertise and counsel on APP roles across the organization.

Education & Licensing

Minimum Education:

• Nurse Practitioner: Master’s or Doctorate from an accredited Nursing Program.
• Physician Assistant: Bachelor’s or Master’s from an accredited PA Program.

Licenses & Certifications:

• Nurse Practitioner: Active RN and APNP license in Wisconsin, with active board certification in Family, Pediatric Acute Care, or Pediatric Primary Care.
• Physician Assistant: Active PA license in Wisconsin, with active PA board certification.

All applicants must have an active DEA license or the ability to obtain one prior to or upon hire, along with CPR and advanced life support certifications (ACLS, PALS, NRP) if relevant.
