Job summary

Banner University Medical Group - Tucson is seeking an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to provide care for inpatient and outpatient services within the cardiology division. The role supports 50% inpatient and 50% outpatient coverage, working with our cardiovascular team to treat cardiology, cardiac surgery, heart failure, transplant and other cardiovascular patients.

Schedule is Monday through Friday, day coverage; outpatient clinic and inpatient rounding with CCU/ICU teams.

Qualifications

• NP Board Certification
• Current Arizona Medical License
• Current BLS, and ACLS.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for inpatient and outpatient services in cardiology.

Acute Care Nurse Practitioner in our Cardiology Division

Banner University Medical Center - Tucson

Banner University Medical Group - Tucson is seeking an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to provide care for inpatient and outpatient services. This position will provide flexible support 50% inpatient & 50% outpatient services. You will work alongside of our Cardiovascular team and care for our cardiology, cardiac surgery, heart failure, transplant and cardiovascular patients. This is an outstanding opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner with experience and/or new grad with appropriate training to be part of an established comprehensive cardiology program. The qualified candidate will work closely with our team of specialized physicians, nursing staff, case managers and support staff and should be comfortable in a fast-paced environment.

Work Schedule

Monday through Friday - Day coverage 8-hour days, rotating weekends and holidays

Patient Volume:

Outpatient clinic - 16 patients/day; Inpatient: 5-10 patients/day, rounding with CCU and ICU teams.

Essential Functions and Required Qualifications:

• NP Board Certification
• New NP Grads encouraged to apply with Cardiology or Cardiac Surgery experience preferred
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work closely with physicians and other clinicians in a team approach to patient care
• Detail-oriented; dedicated to providing excellent care in challenging situations
• Current Arizona Medical License
• Current BLS, and ACLS.
• Current prescribing privileges including a DEA license for controlled substance.
