Banner University Medical Group in Scottsdale, AZ seeks an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our outpatient cardiology team. The NP will work with a lead physician, manage patients, perform procedures, interpret tests, prescribe medications, educate, consult, and participate in research.

Autonomy is required at times and collaboration with clinicians is expected. Requirements include AGACNP certification, current AZ license and board certification, plus CPR/BLS/ACLS and DEA license for

Qualifications

• One-year NP experience in Cardiology or Critical Care.
• AGACNP certification required.
• Current Arizona nursing license and board certification.
• Current CPR, BLS, and ACLS certifications.
• Current DEA license for controlled substances.
• Clinic schedule: outpatient cardiology, 4-10 hour shifts, no call.
• Outpatient caseload: 15-20 patients per day.

Responsibilities

• Clinical management of patients with cardiology conditions.
• Perform therapeutic and diagnostic procedures as needed.
• Prescribe medications and monitor responses.
• Educate patients and families; participate in research and education initiatives.
• Collaborate with physicians and other clinicians in a team-based model.

NURSE PRACTITIONER -Non-Invasive Cardiology!

Banner - University Medicine in Scottsdale, AZ

Banner University Medical Group - Phoenix is seeking experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our team of highly trained Outpatient Cardiologists. Based out of one of our newest facilities, Banner - University Medicine Cardiology Scottsdale, this provider will work closely with the lead physician managing patients. Qualified candidates must be detail-oriented and dedicated to providing excellent care in challenging situations. The NP hired, will be involved in clinical management of patients, performance of therapeutic and diagnostic procedures, interpretation of diagnostic tests, prescribing medications, education, consultation, and research. You will be required to work autonomously at time as well as with physicians and other clinicians along the continuum in a team approach to patient care.

Practice details and qualifications include:

• One-year NP experience in Cardiology/Critical Care training and experience required
• Must have AGACNP
• Current Board Certification and Current Arizona License
• Current CPR, BLS, and ACLS certifications
• Current prescribing privileges including a DEA license for controlled substances
• Work schedule: Monday through Friday clinic in outpatient cardiology (4-10-hour shifts, No Call)
• Outpatient; 15-20 patients per day

Opened in 2025, this innovative academic campus is designed to provide the people of Scottsdale and surrounding areas a single location for many of their non-acute health care needs. The academic clinical setting also allows for immediate access to on-site advanced imaging, lab, pharmacy, and will include several providers across 11 different specialties, including hosting resident and fellow trainees in rotation.
