Wellpath is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive medical services to incarcerated patients under supervision. The role includes exams, chronic care clinics, and infirmary rounds, with emphasis on documentation in SOAP format and formulary adherence.

Responsibilities include responding to emergencies, coordinating with admissions and referrals, and maintaining patient confidentiality while supporting facility committees.

Formación

• Must have licensure as Nurse Practitioner in the state of employment.
• Current CPR certification.
• Prior medical/surgical and/or emergency/trauma experience is preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a corrections environment with inmate patient population.

Responsabilidades

• Provides medical care to inmates, including conducting exams, chronic care clinics, and infirmary rounds.
• Maintains accurate and legible progress note documentation in SOAP format and adheres to formulary guidelines.
• Responds to emergencies and makes decisions regarding non-formulary drugs or off-site referrals.
• Supports policies for admission, transfer, and specialty consultant referrals.
• Maintains confidentiality and provides input into facility committees as requested.

Educación

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

Advanced Nurse Practitioner degree
