Prestige Healthcare Resources, Inc. is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to provide advanced clinical care within substance use and behavioral health programs in Washington, DC.

The NP will conduct evaluations, diagnose conditions, manage medications, and coordinate ongoing care under approved protocols and with the medical team. The position requires DC NP licensure, Board Certification in FNP or PMHNP, and a minimum of 3 years in behavioral health or substance use disorder settings.

Qualifications

  • Current and unencumbered Nurse Practitioner licensure in Washington, D.C.
  • Board Certification in Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) required.
  • Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited academic institution.
  • Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in behavioral health or substance use disorder treatment settings.
  • Strong knowledge of trauma-informed care principles, psychopharmacology, and co-occurring disorders.
  • Experience with EMR systems (e.g., Credible, GAINS, LOCUS, or ICAMS) highly preferred.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification.
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.A.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Nurse Practitioner (NP) provides advanced clinical care to individuals receiving services in PHRI’s substance use and behavioral health programs. The NP conducts evaluations, diagnoses, medication management, and ongoing care coordination under approved protocols and in collaboration with the medical and clinical team.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Conduct comprehensive physical and psychiatric assessments to identify medical and behavioral health conditions.
  • Diagnose client conditions and collaborate in developing individualized treatment plans that incorporate behavioral, physical, and social determinants of health.
  • Prescribe psychotropic and general medications; monitor client progress and manage side effects or treatment adjustments as necessary.

  • Participate in case conferences, audits, and interdisciplinary team meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations including HIPAA, OSHA, and 42 CFR Part 2.
  • Contribute to the development and review of clinical policies and medical protocols.
  • Provide supervision, mentorship, or guidance to nursing and support staff as assigned.
  • Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement projects.
  • Maintain current licensure, certifications, and required continuing education.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
