Job summary

MacMore LLC is seeking a Nurse Practitioner for a pending contract with the United States Secret Service Safety, Health & Environmental Programs Division. The position is based in Washington, DC or Laurel, MD and focuses on occupational health leadership and medical evaluation.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Review medical records and compare with USSS standards to determine status.
  • Provide leadership and expert direction on Occupational Health program requirements.
  • Obtain and secure health and medical history; construct clinical evaluation reports.
  • Perform initial patient work-up and determine need for labs, X-rays or other procedures after consultation.
  • Serve as liaison to USSS leadership, Department of Labor, OPM, DHS on medical treatment and case management.
  • Perform standard clinical duties such as venipuncture, urine collection, EKGs, vitals, hearing and vision tests.
  • Provide guidance on Occupational Health program requirements to internal and external stakeholders.

Job description

MacMore is seeking to fill a Nurse Practitioner position for a pending contract award with the United States Secret Service Safety, Health & Environmental Programs Division.

Location: Washington, DC or Laurel, MD

Key Responsibilities:
  • Performing medical records review and comparing results to USSS medical standards to determine appropriate medical status.
  • Providing leadership, expert advice and direction on Occupational Health program requirements and procedures to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Securing health and medical history from patient's records, research findings and constructs clinical/medical evaluation reports.
  • Performing initial work-up and assessment of patient's care and treatment; determines need for laboratory tests, X-rays, and other medical procedures after consultation with appropriate medical staff.
  • Serving as an agency liaison in responding to information requested by USSS leadership, the Department of Labor, Office of Personnel Management, DHS, etc. regarding employees' medical treatment, disability, and case management.
  • Perform various standard clinical duties as necessary. Examples include but are not limited to the following: Laboratory blood draw, urine specimen collection, performing EKG, obtaining vital signs, conducting hearing and vision tests, etc. Performing medical records review and comparing results to USSS medical standards to determine appropriate medical status.
  • Providing leadership, expert advice and direction on Occupational Health program requirements and procedures to internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
  • The contractor shall possess a master's degree for a Nurse Practitioner certification/degree and license.
  • A licensed and board-certified Nurse Practitioner must be knowledgeable of medical and legal aspects of patient care in a law enforcement work environment.
  • The contractor must be experienced in occupational medicine and apply the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards to control hazards and recognize resulting conditions.
