Prismhr Hire is seeking a Nurse Practitioner for our SeaTac, WA clinic. The role is full-time, on-site, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, not to exceed 40 hours per week.

The NP will provide primary and emergency care, perform minor procedures, prescribe medications, and monitor patient health in collaboration with supervising physicians. An ARNP license and BLS certification are required, with at least 1 year of relevant experience.

Qualifications

  • Must possess a graduate or higher-level degree in nursing from an accredited program.
  • Active, unrestricted ARNP license in the United States (WA preferred).
  • Valid American Heart Association BLS Healthcare Provider certification.
  • At least 1 year of applicable clinical experience.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with physicians and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with physicians to plan, evaluate, and revise patient care plans.
  • Manage daily clinic operations and conduct daily sick calls.
  • Provide emergency care and primary care for trauma when physician absent.
  • Perform minor surgical procedures with physician approval.
  • Prescribe medications and monitor contraindications.
  • Document clinical information accurately in medical records.
  • Interpret basic labs, radiology, and ECG results.
  • Screen for mental health issues and provide initial assessment.

NEEDED: Nurse Practitioner

LOCATION: 2425 S 200th St, SeaTac, WA 98198

SCHEDULE: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM, Not to exceed 40 hours per week, Not to exceed 120 days within a two-year period

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must possess a graduate or higher-level degree in nursing from an accredited educational program in the area of expertise or specialty. This education must have been accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs, Accreditation Commission for Midwifery Education or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained.
  • Must also possess an active, current, full, and unrestricted license or registration in good standing as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) from a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
  • Must be able to pass a drug screening and law enforcement agency background check.
  • Must have at least 1 year of applicable experience as evidenced on their resume,

  • Must hold a current American Heart Association BLS Healthcare Provider certification.
  • Must possess knowledge of methods, techniques, and procedures to perform job activities on various types of medical equipment and automated systems.
  • Must also possess knowledge of safety principles and infection control in the patient care environment.
  • Possess the ability to relate and deal effectively with Physicians, peers, inmates, and others; and, to recognize, report, and record changes in patient's physical and emotional condition.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Works collaboratively with the staff physician(s) and consulting physician(s) in planning, instituting, evaluating and revising program plans; assists in determining conditions, resources and policies essential to delivery of health care services. Discriminates between normal and abnormal findings to recognize early stages of serious physical, emotional, or mental problems.
  • Incumbent manages the daily operation of the clinic and conducts daily sick call; which may also include securing health and developmental history from the patient, recording findings and making critical evaluations.
  • Provides a wide range of emergency services, in the absence of the physician, including primary care for trauma and life‑saving procedures.
  • Performs minor surgical procedures such as incision and drainage; suturing of lacerations; removal of cysts; and removal/repair of ingrown toenails; after consultation with the physician.
  • Prescribes medications and treatment for illnesses. Prior to dispensing, must call attention to any synergistic, antagonistic and cumulative effects of the medications prescribed.
  • Serves as the primary provider for routine requests for evaluation of new complaints, for routine recurring visits for chronic illnesses, and emergencies when clinically indicated.
  • Establishes diagnostic impressions and requests appropriate diagnostic tests (e.g., laboratory, x‑ray, visual acuity and electrocardiogram) and ability to interpret results and selected laboratory findings to include the following:
  • Clinical Laboratory - urinalysis, complete blood counts, staining and examination of smears for bacteria, blood glucose, audio hearing tests.
  • Radiology - preliminary interpretation of radiographs to identify gross abnormalities such as fractures, etc.
  • Optometry - screening for distance and near vision by use of charts and visual screening machines.
  • Electrocardiograph Operations - operates electrocardiographic machine and has basic concepts of interpretation of the tracing to detect abnormalities.
  • Dental - able to perform screening dental examinations, charting and recognizing gross abnormalities of the gum and teeth by means of percussion and palpation and interpretation of dental radiographs.
  • Mental Health - capable of screening for gross mood change, disoriented patterns of behavior, or speech. Takes brief psychiatric, drug, and alcohol abuse history. General knowledge to identify a particular mental disorder such as depression or anxiety and provides emergency treatment and care.
  • Evaluates total health care needs of patients and develops plans to meet these needs. Makes decisions concerning medical care needs of the patient with the supervising physician. Assists the supervisory physician(s) in management of chronic health problems and assists the physician(s) in performing more exhaustive diagnosis and treatments. Teaches and demonstrates the application of good health practices to patients.
  • Will assist and work collaboratively with the physician in management of selected complex medical problems.
  • Make decisions concerning medical care needs of the patient with the physician, as well as decisions regarding special needs. May assist the physician in performing more exhaustive diagnosis and treatment.
  • Enters pertinent clinical information in medical records and must ensure data is current and legible.
  • May be assigned additional tasks related to the primary functions of this role.
