Job summary

Epic Pain Management in San Antonio, TX seeks a Nurse Practitioner to join our physician-led team. The role offers a Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM schedule with dedicated clinical support and opportunities to focus on patient care.

You will develop individualized treatment plans for acute and chronic pain, perform in-office procedures, and collaborate with physicians while maintaining EMR documentation and staying current with best practices in urgent care and pain management.

Qualifications

• Licensed Nurse Practitioner in Texas.
• Current DEA license or ability to obtain.
• Pain management, orthopedics, urgent care, or primary care experience preferred, but not required.
• Strong clinical judgment and patient-management skills.
• Excellent communication and patient-engagement skills.
• A collaborative, motivated approach to patient care.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive evaluations for acute conditions, injuries, and chronic pain.
• Develop and manage individualized treatment plans.
• Perform in-office procedures, including joint and trigger point injections, abscess incision and drainage, suturing, and splinting.
• Interpret diagnostic tests and adjust care plans accordingly.
• Educate patients on diagnoses, treatment options, and follow-up care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR.
• Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to ensure high-quality, efficient care.
• Stay current with best practices in urgent care and pain management.
