Job summary

Epic Pain Management in San Antonio is seeking a Physician Assistant (PA-C) to join our physician-led team. You’ll work alongside experienced physicians, developing individualized treatment plans to improve patient function and quality of life.

The role offers a Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM schedule with dedicated Medical Assistant/scribe, malpractice insurance coverage, CME allowance, and DEA licensing support. Growth opportunities exist within interventional pain management.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physician Assistant in Texas.
• Current DEA license or ability to obtain.
• Pain management, orthopedics, urgent care, or primary care experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive evaluations for acute conditions, injuries, and chronic pain.
• Develop and manage individualized treatment plans.
• Perform in-office procedures including joint and trigger point injections, abscess incision and drainage, suturing, and splinting.
• Interpret diagnostic tests and adjust care plans accordingly.
• Educate patients on diagnoses, treatment options, and follow-up care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR.
• Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to ensure high-quality, efficient care.

What You’ll Do

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

• Licensed Physician Assistant in Texas
• Current DEA license or ability to obtain
• Pain management, orthopedics, urgent care, or primary care experience preferred, but not required
• Strong clinical judgment and patient-management skills
• Confidence working independently with physician collaboration
• Excellent communication and patient-engagement skills
• A collaborative, motivated approach to patient care
