Job summary

Brigham Young University (BYU) seeks a Nurse Practitioner/ANPR to join the Student Health Center. You will deliver comprehensive medical care, assess patient needs, develop and evaluate treatment plans, and empower students with knowledge to thrive on campus.

The role includes performing IUD/Nexplanon insertions per scope and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support student health and wellbeing. BYU offers robust benefits and an academic environment.

Nurse Practitioner APRN

As a Nurse Practitioner with the Student Health Center, you’ll play a vital role in helping students feel their best so they can fully embrace the college experience. You’ll assess patient needs, provide compassionate and comprehensive care, develop and evaluate treatment plans, and empower students with the knowledge and tools they need to thrive physically and emotionally. **Please note: This position may be established at 17.5, 28, or 40 hours per week, depending on the employment agreement established at the time of hire.**

What You’ll Do In This Position

• Provide medical evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment in both a clinic and ambulatory setting; provide answers to questions over telephone.
• Document all findings, consultation, treatment, and diagnoses; review documentation for accuracy.
• Keep abreast of new developments in medicine.

Advanced Functions

• Perform IUD insertion and removal.
• Perform Nexplanon insertion and removal.
• Perform surgical procedures, including Pilonidal Cyst removal, Lipoma excision, and Epidermoid cyst excision.

What qualifies you for this role:

• A firm commitment to the mission of BYU.
• Current Nurse Practitioner License in the State of Utah and Master’s Degree in Nursing/APRN/Board Certified or eligible
• Advanced assessment and treatment skills used in the care of all types of patients (variable in adult, family and pediatric)
• CPR certified
• OSHA certified

Pay Grade: 55

Typical Starting Pay: $94,000 - $122,000

The actual compensation offered will take into consideration internal equity and may vary based on the candidate’s job-related experience, knowledge, skills, and other relevant factors. Candidates with very significant work-related experience may receive an offer higher than the posted typical range.
