Job summary

AppleGate Recovery in Nashville, TN, is seeking a Nurse Practitioner for a contract, hybrid role focused on comprehensive psychiatric care and addiction treatment. You will independently manage patient recovery pathways within a multidisciplinary team, providing evidence-based, patient-centered care.

The position requires active TN NP licensure and MAT/addiction medicine experience, with board certification preferred.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of MAT / Addiction Medicine treatment experience preferred.
• Active Board Certification (ANCC or AANP); Addiction Medicine certification or training preferred.
• Drug rehabilitation training and clinical knowledge preferred.
• Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the State of Tennessee (TN).
• Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check.
• Ability to interact compassionately and effectively with a diverse patient population.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric and addiction treatment evaluations and design personalized care plans.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans in coordination with clinical leadership.
• Counsel patients on treatment options, medication management, and adherence to care plans.
• Advocate for patients’ physical, emotional, and mental health needs to support long-term recovery.

The Opportunity & Impact

As a Nurse Practitioner at our Nashville, TN clinic, you will play a critical role in providing comprehensive psychiatric care and continuity of treatment. You will have the clinical autonomy to manage patient recovery pathways while collaborating closely with an experienced, multidisciplinary clinic team to decrease barriers to care and monitor patient progress.

Key Responsibilities

• Patient-Centered Care: Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, history of present illness (HPI) assessments, and design personalized treatment plans for individuals navigating recovery and mental health disorders.
• Progressive Monitoring: Document and track patient milestones, adjusting care plans seamlessly in collaboration with clinical leadership and clinic directors.
• Empowerment & Education: Counsel patients on their treatment journey, helping them understand their progress, and provide essential health education regarding medication management and compliance.
• Advocacy: Act as a compassionate guide, addressing the physical, emotional, and mental health aspects of substance use and behavioral health disorders to help patients achieve long-term stability and an improved quality of life.

What We Are Looking For
