Job summary

Premise Health Inc. is seeking a Part-Time Nurse Practitioner to provide care for employees and dependents at our Huntsville Health Center in Huntsville, AL.

The role features a fixed Wednesday schedule from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM CST, with a 10-hour shift, including both in-person and telehealth visits. You will conduct exams, provide preventive care, perform procedures, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Current RN license and NP licensure to practice.
• DEA license and state prescriptive authority where practicing.
• National certification (ANCC/AANP) required.
• MSN or higher in nursing and eligible for licensure in Alabama.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical exams and preventive health visits.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests.
• Develop patient care plans and document progress.
• Educate patients on treatment plans and health maintenance.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams.
• Prescribe medications and therapies as allowed.
• Refer to specialists when needed.

As a Part Time Nurse Practitioner, you'll provide care toclient employees and their dependents in our Health Center located in Huntsville, AL.

Schedule: Wednesdays, 7:00 AM–6:00 PM CST (10-hour shift)

• Variety in your practice: See patients for wellness visits, women’s health, physicals, vaccines, acute care, and light occupational health services such as drug screens and pre-hire physicals.

What You’ll Do

• Conducts physical exams and preventive health measures per guidelines
• Performs procedures such as injections, suturing, wound care, and infection management
• Develops patient care plans, records progress, and ensures continuity of care
• Educates patients on treatment plans, health maintenance, and development
• Orders and interprets diagnostic tests to assess clinical conditions
• Collaborates with physicians and healthcare teams for comprehensive care
• Prescribes or recommends treatments, including medications and therapies
• Refers patients to specialists or physicians as needed
• Maintains patient health records ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation and records
• Educates and coaches nursing staff on best practices
• Performs other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

• Maintains state RN licenses/certificates to practice
• Maintains Nurse Practitioner licenses/certificates to practice
• Maintains State Prescriptive Authority (if applicable)
• Federal DEA license (matching each state of practice as applicable)
• State Narcotic/Controlled Substance license if required in your state (Alabama, Connecticut, DC, Delaware, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Utah, Wyoming, Puerto Rico) (New York ROPES registration)
• Current national certification (ANCC or AANP required)
• Master’s Degree in Science of Nursing (if Master Degree in Science certificate does not state Nursing on it then a copy of transcripts is required)
• Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services
• At least three years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner in an ambulatory care, occupational health, family practice or emergency department setting
