Nurse Practitioner – Part‑Time – Sun River Health, Beacon, NY

Job Type: Part‑Time

Hourly Salary: $74.46 - $78.07

Sign‑On Bonus: $3,500 (terms and conditions apply)

Company Overview: Sun River Health is a Federally Qualified, Non‑Profit Health Center serving underserved communities across NY. We provide primary, dental, pediatric, OB‑GYN, and behavioral health care.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Takes histories, performs physical examinations, gives immunizations, and provides patient education and counseling.
• Orders lab work, draws blood for lab work, and performs some lab tests (e.g., wet prep microscopic exams).
• Prescribes treatment for minor illnesses and consults with physicians regarding medication, chronic illness, and referrals when appropriate.
• Maintains legible and appropriate documentation, reviews records periodically, does follow‑up on abnormal pap smears and reportable STDs.
• Attends case conferences, provider meetings, quality improvement programs, and team assignments.
• Attends continuing education programs to increase skills and knowledge.
• Identifies and categorizes each patient’s age‑specific needs.
• Follows OSHA standards of infection control under CDC guidelines.
• Ensures safe performance, meeting productivity, quality, and patient satisfaction standards.

Minimum Education Requirement: Master’s Degree

Minimum Work Experience: 5–8 years; including 4 years in a large medical practice with increasing responsibility.

Preferred Experience: 8+ years

Minimum Licensure: Valid Nurse Practitioner license in New York State; CPR/BLS certification.

Required Skills & Knowledge:
