Job summary

Spectrum Health Systems in Millbury, MA is seeking a part-time LPN/RN to provide medication administration and MAT education in outpatient programs. The role splits hours between Millbury and Milford locations, with mornings 5:00am-1:30pm and a 32-hour weekly schedule.

Responsibilities include medication management, order verification, and assisting admissions in a licensed, compassionate setting. Candidates must hold MA LPN/RN licensure and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Must be a Massachusetts Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN).
• Must have a current CPR certificate or obtain certification within 90 days of hire.
• Must display the use of independent judgment to determine appropriate course of action in emergencies.
• Must communicate effectively in written and oral form in a diverse setting with clients, families, staff and regulators.
• Experience in substance abuse/mental health or an acute care inpatient healthcare environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medication to clients per policy.
• Control, count and document onsite medication.
• Educate clients on medication assisted treatment, uses, side effects.
• Verify medication orders with the physician and transcribe orders.
• Assist in admission and document substance use diagnosis as required.

The Licensed Practical Nurse/Registered Nurse is responsible for:

• Administering medication to clients as outlined in medication administration policy.
• The control, counting and appropriate documentation of onsite medication.
• Educating clients on use, purpose, side effects, and other information relating to medication assisted treatment.
• Verifying medication orders with the physician and transcribes physician’s orders.
• Assisting in the admission process and documents substance use diagnosis as required.
