Job summary

Spectrum Health Systems, Inc. in Milford, MA is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse for an outpatient treatment program.

The schedule is 16 hours per week, 5:30am–2:00pm on Mondays and Tuesdays, with pay rates of $33.00/hour for LPN and $36.00/hour for RN, plus a $3.00 weekend shift differential. You will administer medications per policy, count and document onsite meds, educate clients about medication assisted treatment, verify orders with the physician and transcribe

Qualifications

• Massachusetts LPN or RN license required.
• Current CPR certificate or certification within 90 days of hire.
• Demonstrated independent judgment in emergencies.
• Strong written and verbal communication in a diverse, interdisciplinary setting.
• Experience in substance abuse/mental health or acute inpatient care preferred.

The Licensed Practical Nurse/Registered Nurse Is Responsible For

• Administering medication to clients as outlined in medication administration policy.
• The control, counting and appropriate documentation of onsite medication.
• Educating clients on use, purpose, side effects, and other information relating to medication assisted treatment.
• Verifying medication orders with the physician and transcribes physician's orders.
• Assisting in the admission process and documents substance use diagnosis as required.

Qualifications

• Must be a Massachusetts Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN).
• Must have a current CPR certificate or obtain certification within 90 days of hire.
• Must display the use of appropriate independent judgment to determine appropriate course of action in resolving problems and in emergencies.
• Must be able to express self adequately in written and oral communication and to communicate effectively in an interdisciplinary, culturally diverse setting with clients, families, staff and regulatory agencies.
• Experience in substance abuse/mental health field or an acute care inpatient healthcare environment preferred.
