Job summary

Spectrum Health Systems, Inc. is seeking a part-time Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse for an outpatient treatment program in Milford, MA. The role covers 16 hours per week, primarily 5:30am–2:00pm on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Responsibilities include medication administration, on-site medication control and documentation, and educating clients about MAT. LPN or RN licensure and CPR are required or obtained within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Must be a Massachusetts Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN).
• Current CPR certification or obtain certification within 90 days of hire.
• Must display independent judgment to determine appropriate action in emergencies.
• Express self in written and oral communication in a diverse setting with clients, families, staff and regulators.
• Experience in substance abuse/mental health or acute care preferred.

• Administer medications to clients as per medication administration policy.
• Control, count and document on-site medication accurately.
• Educate clients on use, purpose, side effects, and information related to medication assisted treatment.
• Verify medication orders with physician and transcribe orders.
• Assist in admission process and document substance use diagnoses as required.

Location: Milford, MA - Outpatient Treatment Program

Schedule: 16 hours a week, 5:30am-2:00pm every Monday and Tuesday

Pay rate: $33.00/hour (LPN), $36.00/hour (RN). + $3.00 weekend shift differential

The Licensed Practical Nurse/Registered Nurse is responsible for:

• Administering medication to clients as outlined in medication administration policy.


• The control, counting and appropriate documentation of onsite medication.


• Educating clients on use, purpose, side effects, and other information relating to medication assisted treatment.


• Verifying medication orders with the physician and transcribes physician's orders.


• Assisting in the admission process and documents substance use diagnosis as required.

Qualifications

• Must be a Massachusetts Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN).


• Must have a current CPR certificate or obtain certification within 90 days of hire.


• Must display the use of appropriate independent judgment to determine appropriate course of action in resolving problems and in emergencies.


• Must be able to express self adequately in written and oral communication and to communicate effectively in an interdisciplinary, culturally diverse setting with clients, families, staff and regulatory agencies.


• Experience in substance abuse/mental health field or an acute care inpatient healthcare environment preferred.
