Job summary

Wilson Elser’s Orlando office is seeking a Full Time Nurse Paralegal to join our expanding litigation team. This position offers hybrid or remote working arrangements and includes paralegal training if needed.

Responsibilities include analyzing medical records, creating chronologies and summaries, and preparing materials for expert witnesses, with a focus on healthcare-related litigation at a national law firm.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN with a bachelor’s degree required.
• Nurse Paralegal or Legal Nurse Consultant experience a plus; paralegal training will be provided if needed.
• Ability to quickly learn proprietary software systems; strong written communication and grammar.
• Excellent organizational skills and a team player.
• Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Analyze and summarize medical records.
• Create medical chronologies and narrative summaries of medical records.
• Create billing record summaries in Excel.
• Determine, prepare and organize materials needed for expert witness review.
• Conduct investigative research on expert witnesses.
