Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. seeks an experienced RN Nurse Navigator for a Med/Surg ambulatory care assignment in California. The role requires a CA RN license, current BLS, and ambulatory nurse navigation experience, with Epic EMR proficiency.

The 13-week contract includes a day shift from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with travel considerations and housing/tuition support as part of the benefits package.

Qualifications

• Active CA RN license in-hand at application; EMSA not accepted.
• Current BLS certification.
• Minimum 1 year nurse navigation/coordination in ambulatory setting.
• Med/Surg experience; at least 1 year in acute care.
• Epic experience reflected in work history.
• Skills include starting IVs, IM/IV infusions and subcutaneous injections.
• Experience with patient teaching, office duties, pharmacy calls/refill requests, and telephone triage.
• Two supervisor references required.
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Nurse Navigator unit within an ambulatory care setting.
• Day shift 8:00 AM–5:00 PM; 13-week contract assignment.
• Coordinate patient care navigation, patient teaching, telephone triage, and refill requests.
• Use Epic EMR system for charting and coordination.
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate; travel not guaranteed.
• Previous employees must have a 1-year gap before returning as a traveler.
• Open to travelers with strong skills; clear time-off rules apply.
