University of California, Irvine Health seeks an experienced nurse coordinator to independently provide direct and indirect patient care for Digestive Health Institute patients. You will educate patients and families about surgical care, procedures, medications, and follow-up needs.

The role supports clinic operations, including scheduling, and collaborates with faculty to ensure high-quality nursing care across the continuum from pre-procedure to discharge.

Formación

• Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties.
• Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job.
• Must be willing to travel between locations within the health system as needed.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Current CA RN license
• Basic Life Support Certification from AHA
• All external candidates must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing
• Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload

Responsabilidades

• Provide direct and indirect patient care based on the nursing process for Digestive Health Institute patients.
• Educate patients and families on surgical care, diagnostic procedures, medications, and plan of care.
• Assist with scheduling of office visits and procedures.
• Support faculty in clinics for patient care sessions and ensure continuum of care from pre-procedure to discharge.
• Maintain high quality nursing practice and safe use of equipment in physician office settings.
