Job summary

UCI Health is seeking a Nurse Coordinator for the Digestive Health Institute. Qualifications

• Must have a BSN and California RN license.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Ability to travel between health system locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process for Digestive Health Institute patients.
• Educate patients and families about surgical care, procedures, medications and follow-up needs.
• Ensure continuity of care across pre-procedure, hospitalization, discharge planning and follow-up with physician offices.
• Support faculty in clinic for each patient session and assist with scheduling office visits and procedures.
• Uphold nursing practice quality and ensure safe use of equipment in the physician office practice.
