Job summary

UCI Health in Orange, CA seeks a Director to lead the Digestive Health Institute, advancing service line strategy, operational excellence, and cost-effective patient care. You will work with clinical leaders and business partners to grow services and improve throughput.

The role requires 5+ years of leadership, developing policies, strategic goals aligned with UC Irvine Medical Center objectives, and strong communication to diverse teams. MBA preferred; clinical experience a plus.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience to cover operations, with related accomplishments in performance, development, productivity, and cost management.
Effectively develops unit/department operational policies and procedures.
Effectively demonstrates strategic thinking in developing short-term goals for the department, consistent with the UCI Medical Center institutional goals and objectives.
Consistently provides services which anticipate and/or exceed customer expectations in terms of quantity, quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
Consistently ensures compliance with all university policy/procedures, applicable laws, regulatory agency requirements, codes of practice and organization work standards (service, quality and safety standards).
Communicates effectively with upper management, peers and other disciplines within the hospital, outside agencies and other entities to ensure prompt and proper exchange of information and resolution of issues.
Ability to manage staff and resources consistent with goals, and in keeping the organizational vision and values. Ability to delegate and empower staff and build strong employee morale.
Ability to build, attract and develop a strong management team by demonstrating and setting high standards of behavior, performance, quality, credibility and integrity.
