Job summary

Wellness Equity Alliance in Indio, CA seeks a Nurse Manager to provide clinical and administrative leadership for the Behavioral Health Crisis Walk-In Center. You will supervise RNs/LVNs, ensure 24/7 coverage, and maintain trauma-informed nursing care in a high-acuity setting.

The role partners with psychiatrists, therapists, and law enforcement to coordinate care, uphold regulatory standards, and drive quality improvements in a dynamic, 24/7 environment.

Qualifications

• BSN required; CA RN license active
• Minimum 3 years RN experience in psychiatric/behavioral health, emergency, or crisis settings
• Minimum 2 years supervisory or management experience

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, train, schedule, and evaluate nursing staff across all shifts
• Ensure 24/7 staffing coverage and manage leave and overtime
• Oversee triage, assessment, and stabilization of clients in acute psychiatric crises
• Ensure nursing policies align with California regulatory standards and correct documentation in the EHR
• Coordinate with psychiatrists, therapists, peer supporters, case managers, law enforcement for coordinated care
• Monitor quality metrics and lead performance improvement initiatives
• Respond to critical incidents and ensure safety and proper crisis intervention
