Job summary

Wellness Equity Alliance in Indio, CA, is seeking a Nurse Manager to lead the Behavioral Health Crisis Walk-In Center. The role oversees 24/7 nursing operations, ensures trauma-informed care, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with psychiatrists, therapists, case managers, and EMS liaison teams.

Responsibilities include staff supervision, training, performance management, and maintaining high-quality patient care while navigating high-acuity crises in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing required (RN license).
• Master's degree preferred (MSN, MHA, or related).
• Active, unencumbered California RN license required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• CPI or equivalent crisis de-escalation certification within 90 days of hire.
• PMH-BC or ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, train, schedule, and evaluate nursing staff across shifts.
• Provide supervision, mentorship, and competency validation for the nursing team.
• Develop and maintain nursing policies aligned with California regulations.
• Monitor quality metrics and drive performance improvement initiatives.
• Oversee triage, assessment, stabilization, and medication administration for crises.
• Coordinate with psychiatrists, therapists, peer support, case managers, and EMS liaisons.
