Job summary

BayRidge Hospital, part of Beth Israel Lahey Health, is seeking a Nurse Manager to oversee clinical unit management and staffing within budgetary guidelines in Massachusetts. The role collaborates with nurse managers and allied disciplines to maintain a safe, therapeutic patient environment.

The ideal candidate will hold a Massachusetts RN license, a nursing degree with leadership experience, and at least five years of practice.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in English (verbal and written).
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Baccalaureate required in nursing or other related health care field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the field of practice.
• Previous leadership experience required.
• Current Massachusetts license as RN; Department certification as appropriate; BCLS.

Responsibilities

• Develops staffing patterns and monthly evening schedules within budget.
• Participates in hiring, disciplinary and termination processes.
• Performs staff evaluations and conducts unit staff meetings.
• Leads multi-disciplinary clinical meetings to improve patient care.
• Reviews incident reports and safety events; reports to Nursing/IBH Administration.
• Ensures compliance with hospital policies and regulatory guidelines.
