Job summary

The Vermont Veterans' Home seeks a compassionate Nurse Manager to oversee daily clinical operations across units serving veterans and residents, including those with dementia. You will direct nursing and ancillary staff, ensure quality of care, and maintain regulatory compliance under the Nursing Services Director.

This full-time role requires Vermont RN licensure (or multi-state license) with 5+ years in nursing and at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.

Qualifications

  • Must hold RN licensure in Vermont or be eligible via a multi-state license.
  • Five+ years of professional nursing experience including two+ years in a supervisory role.
  • Must maintain Vermont RN licensure as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Direct daily clinical operations under Nursing Services Director, supervising staff and monitoring care quality.
  • Develop and oversee processes for regulatory compliance, QA, audits and corrective actions.
  • Support, educate, and hold staff accountable in clinical practices and documentation; provide EHR expertise.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership, partners, and external agencies; contribute to policy and committees.
  • Participate in emergency preparedness activities and provide oversight during emergencies.
  • Engage in Quality Assurance initiatives to promote continuous improvement.
