Job summary

Cedar Ridge Behavioral Hospital, a UHS facility, is seeking a Nurse Manager to oversee nursing/patient care teams across all shifts in a 24/7 inpatient setting. You will assess patients, implement treatment plans, document care, and support staff development while ensuring policy and regulatory compliance.

The role reports to the Assistant Director of Nursing and works within a multidisciplinary team dedicated to compassionate psychiatric care.

Qualifications

  • RN licensure and CPR certification required by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing.
  • 1–2 years of clinical experience with recent psychiatric nursing experience required.
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program required.
  • 1–2 years of supervisory/charge nurse experience required.
  • BSN or Master’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

The Nurse Manager provides direct supervision to nursing/patient care team on all shifts facility-wide for all patient service levels in an around-the-clock in-patient environment. Provides physical assessments of patients, implements patients’ treatment plans, evaluates response to treatment, provides complete documentation, performs physical restraint assessments, administers medications as prescribed, and provides health care education for patients and families. Assists ADON in employee recruitment, education, and performance development, as well as policy review and implementation, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Performs duties in accordance with the ANA Standards of Practice for Psychiatric Mental Health Care, and facility mission, values, policies, and behavioral standards. Reports to Assistant Director of Nursing.

Key Requirements
  • Licensure and registration by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing as a registered nurse (RN) and CPR certification required
  • One (1) to two (2) years prior clinical experience and recent psychiatric nursing experience required

Cedar Ridge Behavioral Hospital (a UHS facility) provides inpatient and residential treatment services for youth ages 5-17, as well as inpatient, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient services for adults ages 18+.
