Cedar Ridge Hospital in Oklahoma City is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide psychiatric care across adult and youth units. The RN will conduct physical assessments, implement treatment plans, administer medications, and educate patients and families while supervising Mental Health Techs and LPN staff to maintain a safe environment.

The ideal candidate holds an Oklahoma RN license, with strong communication, leadership, and computer skills, and offers a commitment to high-quality patient care

Qualifications

• Valid Oklahoma RN license is required.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• BSN or Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of one year psychiatric experience preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Drug test and national background check required.
• Ability to push, pull and lift up to 40 pounds.
• Strong computer skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical assessments of residents and implement treatment plans.
• Evaluate patient response to treatment and adjust care as needed.
• Maintain complete documentation of care provided.
• Conduct physical restraint assessments per policy.

The Registered Nurse (RN), under the supervision of the Chief Nursing Officer, provides physical assessments of residents, implements resident's treatment plan, evaluates response to treatment, provides complete documentation, performs physical restraint assessments, administers medications as prescribed and provides health care education for residents and families. The RN supervises the daily duties of the Mental Health Techs and LPN staff, and assures that all residents are maintained in a safe environment. Performs duties in accordance with the ANA Standards of Practice for Psychiatric Mental Health Care, and facility mission, values, policies, and behavioral standards.

Cedar Ridge Behavioral Hospital (a UHS facility) Cedar Ridge Behavioral Hospital provides inpatient and residential treatment services for youth ages 5-17, as well as inpatient, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient services for adults ages 18+.
