Job summary

Cedar Ridge Behavioral Hospital, a UHS facility, seeks an Admissions Clinician RN to perform risk assessments and crisis intervention both by phone and in person. You will coordinate referrals, determine level of care, and guide the admission process while communicating with referral sources, families, patients, and staff.

Shifts include Day, Evening and Overnight; full-time and part-time positions are available.

Qualifications

• Valid Oklahoma RN license is required
• CPR certification within 90 days of employment is required
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program is required
• Intake, assessment, admission and crisis intervention experience with a psychiatric population is preferred
• Experience in an inpatient psychiatric setting is preferred
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Successfully complete a drug test
• Successfully pass a national background check
• Ability to push, pull and lift up to 40 pounds
• Intermittent sitting, standing, walking, bending and stooping
• Strong computer skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong leadership skills

Responsibilities

The Admissions Clinician RN provides telephonic and in-person risk assessment and crisis intervention, initial contact with referral sources and potential patients, coordinates the referral and intake process, determines appropriate level of care, facilitates the admission process and maintains communication with referral sources, families, patients and unit staff. Promotes patient care consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Cedar Ridge. Performs duties in accordance with the facility’s mission, values, policies, and behavioral standards.

Cedar Ridge Behavioral Hospital (a UHS facility) Cedar Ridge Behavioral Hospital provides inpatient and residential treatment services for youth ages 5-17, as well as inpatient, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient services for adults ages 18+. Our treatment programs provide a structured and supportive treatment environment that promotes self-acceptance and helps stabilize patients suffering from acute psychiatric illness. Our multidisciplinary treatment teams consist of psychiatrists, licensed therapists and highly specialized nurses who collaborate to develop and implement effective and compassionate treatment plans for our patients. Cedar Ridge is a behavioral health facility that encompasses a 206-bed acute psychiatric hospital and residential treatment center on a beautifully wooded campus with a stocked pond, school, gym, outdoor courtyard and playground.
