Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Manager, Patient Care who will provide clinical and administrative leadership across nursing staff and other disciplines. The role aligns with NM mission and ethics and oversees patient care within defined units.

The Manager will supervise staffing, budgeting, quality initiatives, and staff development, fostering a collaborative environment and ensuring high-quality patient care in accordance with NM standards.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of relevant experience.
• Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing. Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• Specialty Certification within one year of hire.
• Cert BLS.
• Licensed RN.

Responsibilities

• Helps staff connect NM values to daily work and patient satisfaction.
• Sets expectations for continuous quality and service improvement with targets and metrics.
• Encourages staff to identify problems and pilot solutions.
• Coordinates the scheduling and staffing of the department including vacation, education time, and overtime approvals.
• Directs and supervises patient care within the department.
