Job summary

University Health is seeking a Nurse Leader for a supervisory role to manage nursing staff and coordinate patient care activities. The position emphasizes collaboration across clinical and non-clinical teams and mentoring of staff toward Nursing Director-level development.

The ideal candidate will bring RN leadership experience, a BSN, and current Texas licensure with BLS certification. This is a full-time on-site role at a Magnet-status system.

Qualifications

• Must have a current Texas RN licensure.
• BSN Required.
• BLS from the American Heart Association and national certification in related field are required.
• Three (3) years recent, full-time hospital experience with a minimum of two (2) years in an equivalent management capacity is also required.

Responsibilities

• The Registered Nurse Manager (Patient Care Coordinator-PCC) will be responsible for performing expert leadership skills in management of staff and coordination of patient care activities.
• The professional RN will work collaboratively with all healthcare providers and non-health care providers.
• Will serve as a mentor and role model for all staff and will receive mentoring for the Nursing Director.
