Shady Grove Medical Center seeks to hire an experienced Nurse Manager for our PACU & Pre-operative Services who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing. The Clinical Nurse Manager is responsible for operationalizing the strategic plan for their department, ensuring the assessment, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of the delivery of safe and effective patient-centered care. The Clinical Nurse Manager will role model professionalism and exemplary standards of practice while mentoring, evaluating, and facilitating the professional growth of their team as well as ensuring the accountability of team members to practice standards as well as the goals, mission, vision, and policies of the organization.

Responsibilities
  • Role-model positive customer service behaviors.
  • Role-model and encourage professional practice (to include nurse autonomy, authority, accountability, and responsibility) within their department.
  • Operationalize the strategic plan for their department.
  • Establishes, role-models, and upholds the standards of practice and expectations for the staff, monitoring performance, behaviors, competency, and conducts performance reviews.
  • Consistently, timely, and accurately completes tasks necessary for service recovery, complaints, near misses, and adverse events.
  • Actively leads and encourages staff participation in continuous improvement efforts, DMAICs, and shared governance.
  • Promotes cohesive work teams and constructive conflict resolution both within the department and organization.
  • Identifies and monitors resources necessary for safe delivery of patient care to include labor, equipment, and facilities in the department.
  • Executes other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Baccalaureate Degree in nursing required,
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Three years of work experience in department-specific area, as defined by the department-specific certification requirements
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Current Maryland State nursing license
  • Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Certification in leadership within 1 year of Eligibility

Pay Range: $104,000.00 - $150,000.00

Under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), this position is classified as: United States of America (Exempt)
