Job summary

Quorum Health Corporation in Oregon's Springfield seeks an experienced perioperative nurse leader to oversee OR operations, staffing and policy updates. You will leverage strong OR experience to coach staff, ensure patient safety, and drive continuous improvement within a collaborative team environment.

The role requires leadership capabilities, clinical excellence, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree and RN license in Oregon.
• Current BLS & ACLS certifications.
• Strong leadership and teaching abilities.
• Experience in OR, sterile processing, and endoscopy preferred.
• Clinical excellence, critical thinking, and excellent communication.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge base of perioperative nursing practices and OR equipment.
• Provide clinical nursing care to meet patient safety needs.
• Organize, prioritize and delegate daily tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Schedule unit staff and manage staffing needs.
• Resolve conflicts and communicate effectively with peers.
• Demonstrate time management, sound judgment, and independence.
• Write and update policies and procedures.

Essential Job Functions:

• Knowledge base of current perioperative nursing practices and operating room equipment
• Clinical nursing skills to meet safety needs of patients - including CPR, responses to emergencies, patient assessment
• Ability to organize, prioritize and delegate at a rapid pace daily
• Unit / Staff Scheduling
• Conflict resolution and peer communication
• Time management skills, sound judgement and ability to work independently
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Writing and updating policies and procedures

Qualifications/Skills:

• Previous leadership experience preferred.
• Strong OR experience required.
• Sterile Processing experience preferred.
• Endoscopy experience strongly preferred.
• Clinical excellence, leadership abilities, teaching competency, critical thinking, excellent communication skills.

Education/Licensing:

• Nursing school graduate.
• Licensed as Registered Nurse in State of Oregon.
• Current BLS & ACLS.
