Inova Schar Cancer Institute is seeking a dedicated Nurse Manager for the Oncology Phone Triage team. This full-time, day-shift role operates Monday–Friday with a hybrid model requiring up to 50% onsite work at 8081 Inova Health Center in Falls Church, VA.

The Nurse Manager will lead the unit, hire and train staff, and drive performance using Joint Commission standards. BSN and VA RN license required, with 2 years oncology experience; leadership preferred.

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required
• 2 years nursing experience related to oncology unit

Inova Schar Cancer Institute is looking for a dedicated Nurse Manager to join the team at their Oncology Phone Triage team. This role will be full-time day shift from Monday - Friday.

This position is hybrid and requires up to 50% onsite work at our 8081 Inova Health Center location.

The Nurse Manager oversees assigned unit to ensure it is performing effectively, which may include but not limited to, hiring and training team members, creating and implementing business strategies, managing performance of team members, and delegating tasks. Manages a nursing unit with 24-hour responsibility through demonstrated leadership and supporting behavioral competencies. Utilizes the Joint Commission standards and nursing practice tools/research to support a care delivery system that produces quality care with optimal outcomes. Serves as a primary liaison and information resource for unit of responsibility while overseeing the provision of therapeutic care in a holistic and evidence-based environment, which produces excellent patient care with optimal patient outcomes. Provides direction and guidance to others regarding practice while serving as a resource and a mentor to team members and showing respect for and an appreciation for the contributions of all team members. Consistently supports Inova Health System's mission and strategic plans.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Certification - Basic Life Support through American Heart Association
• Licensure - Licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse.
• Experience - 2 years of nursing experience related to the unit's scope.
• Education - Bachelors Degree in Nursing

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1-2 years previous leadership (supervisor) experience
• 3-5 years oncology experience
• Chemotherapy infusion experience
• Experience with change management
