Job summary

Ascension Riverside Hospital in Jacksonville, FL seeks an experienced nurse leader to oversee patient care delivery, mentor staff, and optimize budgets. You will coordinate care with physicians and admin teams while driving quality initiatives to enhance patient safety and satisfaction.

Required RN licensure in Florida, BLS within 30 days, and 3 years of nursing with 1 year of leadership. A Master's degree is preferred to support evidence-based practice and Magnet excellence.

Qualifications

BLS within 30 days of hire; certs accepted from AHA or ARC.
RN credential issued by Florida Board of Nursing before hire.
Minimum 3 years nursing experience with 1 year in leadership.

Responsibilities

Oversee patient care delivery within the unit to ensure high-quality standards and compliance.
Recruit, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff; manage shift scheduling for coverage.
Manage the unit's operational budget and optimize supply usage.
Coordinate care across patients, families, physicians, and admin teams.
Lead unit-based quality improvement to reduce errors and improve outcomes.
