You will oversee staffing, quality improvement, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with physicians and colleagues to drive patient outcomes and a positive unit culture.

Qualifications

• BSN required; MSN preferred.
• Current licensure by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support; ACLS may be required for specific units.
• At least 5+ years of acute Medical/Surgical nursing experience with additional critical care experience.

Responsibilities

• Manages unit nursing staff within the scope of RN licensure, maintains professional standards of practice, and continually evaluates the quality of nursing care delivered.
• Oversees the development and management of operational and capital budgets.
• Ensures appropriate daily staffing levels to meet patient care demands and maintain safety.
• Collaborates with physicians, nursing leaders, and interdisciplinary colleagues to improve patient outcomes and operational efficiency.
• Represents the ICU in committee meetings and ensures regulatory compliance across the unit.
