Job summary

Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) seeks a Nurse Manager for the San Antonio area. You will plan, supervise, and direct nursing care across a 24/7 operation at the San Antonio State Supported Living Center, ensuring staffing and regulatory compliance with TAC and CMS standards.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes, directs and manages the daily operations and activities of the assigned nursing area following HHSC policies and procedures.
• Establishes, implements and evaluates a nursing staffing plan that identifies and deploys minimum resources needed to comply with all regulatory and professional standards.
• Ensures the continuous (24-hours/day, 7 days/week) timely availability of nursing staff to meet resident care needs.
• Participates in performance improvement and quality assurance activities.
