Responsibilities

Lead and manage the nurses and medical assistants on the team.
Maintain a safe environment for staff and patients, ensuring standards of care.
Follow the union contract and employee handbook for disciplinary decisions and HR management.
Ensure department workflows align with the organizational strategic plan and mentor staff.
Support staff by providing resources for evidence-based practice implementation.
Have a basic understanding of budgeting and financial processes.
Delegate responsibilities based on scope of practice, education, and experience.
Collaborate with nurse managers and practice managers to ensure adequate staffing.
