Job summary

Atrium Health Pineville is seeking a Float Pool Nurse Manager to lead the growth and development of the Float Pool program. This role oversees recruiting, onboarding, scheduling, and retention for float pool teammates, as well as operations for the PSA program and IV Team.

The Nurse Manager plans, coordinates, and evaluates clinical and operational functions to ensure high-quality, cost-effective care delivered by a skilled team.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current RN licensure in appropriate state.
• MSN preferred; MSN required within 5 years if non-BSN undergrad.
• Previous management experience preferred.
• BLS required per policy guidelines.
• Certification within 1 year of eligibility for professional certification exam.

Responsibilities

• Lead float pool program growth and development.
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, and retention for float pool teammates.
• Oversee operations for the PSA program and IV Team.
• Plan, coordinate, and evaluate clinical and operational functions for high-quality, cost-effective care.
• Promote a safe environment and maintain clinical/professional competency.
• Ensure compliance with Nursing Practice Act and regulatory standards.
• Delegate effectively and support shared governance.
• Participate in performance improvement activities to improve care quality and outcomes.
• Develop policies and standards reflecting evidence-based practice.
• Allocate resources and oversee budget for a cost-effective unit.
