Avenues Recovery Center in Fort Wayne is hiring a Nurse Manager for first shift. You will oversee nursing and medical support staff, coordinate care across departments, manage medication inventory, and ensure high-quality medical documentation.

The role requires an RN license in/state or compact privileges, strong leadership, and excellent communication. The position is full-time, with weekday hours, at a 100-bed residential facility offering detox and inpatient rehab services in Fort Wayne.

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality, compassionate, and timely medical care for every client.
• Coordinate client care between medical and clinical departments, UR team, external providers, and pharmacies.
• Oversee medication inventory, logs, and authorizations, lab shipments and reports, medical supplies and equipment.
• Oversee and direct nursing and medical support staff (interviews, onboarding, training, scheduling, HR needs, performance reviews).
• Maintain medical workflow processes and conduct ongoing reviews of protocol and operations.
• Ensure quality medical documentation and charting standards via weekly chart reviews.

(Monday - Friday, 8am - 4:30pm)!

What You'll Do

• Ensure quality, compassionate, and timely medical care for every Avenues client
• Ensure seamless coordination of client care between medical and clinical departments, UR team, external healthcare providers, and pharmacies
• Oversee all medication inventory, logs, and authorizations, lab shipments and reports, medical supplies and equipment etc.
• Oversee and direct all nursing and medical support staff (interviews, onboarding, training, retention, scheduling, shift coverage, HR needs, and performance reviews)
• Maintain medical workflow process and conduct ongoing reviews of protocol and operations
• Ensure quality medical documentation and charting standards through weekly chart review

What We're Looking For

• Minimum one year diploma program post - high school
• one year experience in substance use treatment field preferred
• Valid RN licensure necessary to practice nursing in-state, or compact licensure with multistate privileges
• Excellent oral and written communication and critical thinking skills
• Strong collaborative, multitasking, and time-management skills
• Natural leadership abilities with commitment to excellence
