AdventHealth in Rome, GA is seeking an experienced Nursing Leader to oversee staff performance, staffing, and quality initiatives. The role emphasizes managing budgets, guiding clinical practice, and ensuring continuity of patient-centered care.

You will lead a multidisciplinary team, promote evidence-based practice, and mentor staff while upholding regulatory standards and organizational policies in a day-shift, full-time capacity.

Qualifications

RN with 1+ year of critical care and leadership experience.
Bachelor's of Nursing required; Master's preferred.
Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS certifications.

Responsibilities

Manages budgets and resources with focus on staffing and healthcare finance.

Job Description:

Oversees staff performance, manages staffing, hiring, orientation, and discipline, while fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
Manages budgets and resources, maintains appropriate staffing and understands healthcare finance.
Leads and supports performance and quality improvement initiatives, implements evidence-based practice changes, and ensures compliance with professional standards and hospital policies.
Utilizes critical thinking and technology in decision-making, problem-solving, and integrating new systems to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Provides strong leadership and mentorship, ensures high-quality clinical care, supports staff development, and maintains clear communication and planning for patient care delivery.
Encourages interdisciplinary collaboration and maintains positive relationships with patients, staff, vendors, and other departments to ensure patient-centered care.
Demonstrates professionalism, supports ongoing education and development, maintains confidentiality, and upholds ethical standards and organizational policies.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of regulatory standards (The Joint Commission, OSHA, Specialty Standards) strongly [Preferred]
Ability to communicate effectively and present information to both large and small groups
Computer knowledge and skills. Cerner medical record experience preferred.
Maintain clinical competencies and is able to fully assist at the bedside.
Collaborates with leadership and staff to define and refine goals consistent with the organization's mission and goals, taking into consideration all populations served.
Empowers and supports staff in educational offerings related to career growth and professional development.
Demonstrates leadership behaviors and attitudes consistent with the organization's philosophy, mission, and goals.
Demonstrates knowledge of state, federal, and regulatory standards that guide services by ensuring compliance through updating policies, practices, and procedures.
