Job summary

Del Amo Behavioral Health System is seeking a Nurse Manager/Education Coordinator (NM/EC) to provide continuous nursing care within the Department of Nursing Services. The NM/EC will lead clinical staff, coordinate education, and ensure quality care according to hospital policies.

S/he will also serve as a CNO representative in the CNO’s absence and oversee infection control and employee health matters. The role requires ADN/ASN with RN licensure in California; BSN/MSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of clinical experience in psychiatric nursing, including Charge Nurse and Nursing Supervisor experience.
• Thorough working knowledge of Hospital, Nursing and HR policies/procedures, with demonstrated ability to use skills in clinical and managerial situations.
• Experience with clinical infection control practices and employee health required.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and coordination of nursing personnel.
• Organize, manage and coordinate nursing services to assure quality nursing care.
• Act as representative for the CNO in the CNO’s absence and oversee Infection Control Coordinator and employee health issues.
