Job summary

Hcshiring seeks a Lead Nurse Manager for the Dementia Unit to guide clinical leadership, support nursing teams, and ensure person-centered dementia care. You will collaborate with the Director of Nursing to plan, organize, and direct day-to-day nursing services while maintaining regulatory compliance and high-quality resident outcomes.

You will lead rounds, oversee admissions and care planning, ensure staff development, and promote a safe, welcoming environment for residents and families.

Qualifications

• Licensure & education: diploma/AS/BSN in nursing and current Maine RN license.
• CPR certification required at hire or during orientation.

Responsibilities

• Clinical Oversight & Rounds: lead daily rounds, oversee resident care and collaborate with physicians.
• Regulatory Compliance & Quality: ensure nursing practice meets regulatory standards and participate in surveys.
• Staff Leadership & Development: evaluate performance, manage discipline, support ECS competency and staff education.
• Care Planning & Admissions: oversee admissions, participate in RAI care planning, review complaints and ensure care plans reflect needs.
• Infection Control & Safety: implement policies on infection control and report safety concerns.
