Job summary

North Alabama Medical Center in Florence, AL, seeks a Nurse Manager, Critical Care Stepdown to lead the CCU with a focus on clinical excellence and operational efficiency.

The role requires a BSN and an Alabama RN license, with 3+ years in medical-surgical nursing and at least 2 years in supervision. You will drive quality initiatives, budget management, and staff development in a high-acuity setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required.
• Current Alabama RN license or licensure eligible.
• 3+ years of medical-surgical nursing with at least 2 years supervisory experience.
• Experience with budgeting, financial management, and resource allocation in acute care.
• Strong analytical skills; ability to interpret data and implement performance-improvement initiatives.
• BLS required and ACLS preferred (or obtained within defined timeframe).

Responsibilities

• Serve as the accountable leader for all aspects of Critical Care.
• Drive continuous improvement in outcomes, cost of care, and patient satisfaction.
• Partner with quality leadership to ensure accreditation standards compliance.
• Collaborate with service line leaders, facility leadership, and system executives for patient-centered care.
• Support provider and staff recruitment, retention, and engagement.
• Demonstrate inspirational leadership and commitment to patient-centered outcomes.
• Collaboration: work with physicians, advanced practice providers, and hospital leadership to enhance coordination and care delivery.
• Oversee staff education, competency, and adherence to safety standards.
