Baystate Health is seeking a Nurse Manager – Contingent Staffing to oversee the contingent and per diem clinical workforce across Baystate Health. Reporting to the Vice President of Clinical Business Operations, this role manages contract labor and partners with inpatient nursing leaders to support staffing, efficiency, and quality.

Qualifications

• 2 years leadership experience required.
• RN license to practice in Massachusetts required.
• BSN degree required; MSN preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with large and diverse populations.
• Skilled in collaborating with others to achieve goals.
• Proficient in handling complex work assignments.
• Strong organizational abilities.
• Capacity to provide clear direction, with proven success.

Responsibilities

• Oversee contingent and per diem clinical workforce and contract labor.
• Collaborate with inpatient nursing unit leaders to support staffing and cost outcomes.
• Serve as primary liaison with personnel agencies for placement and qualifications.
• Maintain data systems and evaluate staffing models with leadership.
• Identify and resolve system challenges impacting objectives and change management.
• Coach, mentor, and support professional growth and learning.
• Analyze staffing patterns to set goals and action plans.
• Ensure high-quality patient care and safety through clinical processes.
