Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Health System is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager for the 5th Floor Complex Medicine Unit at Marymount Hospital in Garfield Hts. You will lead a 12-bed telemetry unit, supervise admissions, and drive care planning and policy development.

Ideal candidates hold a BSN with RN licensure, BLS certification, and at least two years of clinical nursing experience, with leadership background preferred to improve patient outcomes and staff development.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
• BSN degree or higher.
• Current state RN licensure is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Two years of recent clinical nursing experience.
• Leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction and support to the unit staff and supervise admissions, evaluate patient needs and initiate care plans.
• Evaluate and document patient progress and outcomes.
• Lead planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing programs and unit objectives.
• Develop and implement policies to ensure efficient delivery of health services.
• Serve as liaison between the manager, staff and other areas of the organization.
• Identify and resolve issues affecting delivery of patient care.
• Prepare work schedules to ensure adequate coverage.
• Participate in quality improvement projects and outcomes studies.
• Assist in orienting new personnel and ongoing education.
