Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Nursing (strongly preferred).
• Current RN license in the state they are working or compact (required).
• BLS Basic Life Support (preferred upon hire, must obtain prior to patient care).
• Certifications such as PALS/ACLS/NRP/TNCC/ENPC are unit-dependent (preferred).
• Nurse Executive or specialty certifications (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Leads a team of nurses and clinical support.
• Supports managers/directors on larger units.
• Performs limited managerial responsibilities and supports frontline staff.
• Plans and supervises unit/department goals and objectives.
• Ensures readiness for regulatory surveys and inspections.
• Models professional practice and mentors staff toward optimal outcomes.
